Befunky by Adam

A long time ago Ms Whitwell showed us a website called Be Funky. You can get a picture of yourself and change the settings and make weird pictures out of it. We made four pictures joined them together and then put our name in the middle. 

My speech

My favourite place is the place with guns, swords and army people. In my place its the place where your safe but you can also die. My place is ..... my room. In my room you can do lots of things. You can play x box 360 and that's when you could die. My room is an adventure. In my room nothing is BORING!!! My room is the place the sun comes out in the morning. If you look out the window in the morning you'll see the sun shining. That's because my place is special. Its always tidy. I tidy my room every weekend. I always make sure its clean. My place is filled with music. That's because I have a piano in my room. Usually I'm in my room but sometimes a monster comes into my room. That monster is my brother Ari. Its so annoying. Sometimes friends and family stay the night at my place. My place has a very nice warm bed. My place is full of secrets. I have a diary and lots of other goodies. In my room I also have a cool moviemaking camera. That's cool. My room really is an adventure. My kindle is a big adventure.  I can basically get any book I want with it. A really cool thing is all my army people. I've got about 150 army men. I've got props for my army games so I can do the ultimate game setup. I've also got my paper and lots of art pencils, felt tips and pens which means I can basically draw what I want. Another cool thing is my fake guns and swords. You can play some awesome stuff with them,. Now you can see why my room is my favourite place.

Skiing down the mountian by Adam

Yesterday, on Monday 16 September, my class went skiing on the mountain. We wrapped up in warm skiing gear. We had to be at school by 7:00 in the morning. I had to get up at 6:00 in the morning. I had breakfast and went to school. I hopped in Geordie's car and his dad drove Ethan, Geordie, Christian and me to the mountain. When we got there we had something to eat and went down to put our boots and gear on. First of all we had a beginners lesson on how to ski. In about an hours time I knew how to ski. After the lesson we had lunch and then we could do what we wanted to do. I buddied up with Ryan and we skied down the mountain. It was really fun. Soon we had to go. I wish I could go again.

Cross country by Adam

Yesterday, on the Tuesday the 3rd September, we had Cross country. We lined up and went to the big field. The sun was really hot. When we got there parents were everywhere waiting for the races to start. Fordell sat down. Mr Walker took Kowhai out of the shield. I was in Miro. I hoped Miro would win. Soon the races started. The year ones went first. Then the years went up. I had to run two small laps and one big lap and then one little. It was tiring. At the end the winners got rewards. The house that won was Kowhai again. Miro never wins. When we got back in class we got a lollie for running.

The biggest insect by Adam

The biggest insect is the Weta. It is so big it can eat carrots. Mark, the person who discovered the weta, discovered the giant weta up a tree.

The creepy crawly is only found on Little Barrier Island, in New Zealand.

The species were wiped off the mainland by rats accidentally introduced by Europeans.

The largest spider by Adam

The largest known spider is a male Goliath bird-eating spider. It was found in Rio Cavro Venezuela in April 1965. It had a record leg-span of 28 cm to cover a dinner plate. This species is found in the coastal rainforests of Surinam, Guyana and French Guiana but isolated specimens have also been reported from Venezuela and Brazil.

My birthday party by Adam

My birthday party was really fun. Seth and Ethan came into town with me and we went into the DVD shop and got some X BOX 360 games.  We went to the super market and brought chips, lollies and drinks. When we got  home Christian and Michael arrived. Then we all played X BOX 360 all day until it was dinner. We had nachos. We all ate it up. After dinner we played X BOX 360 again. The games were pretty cool. Soon it was 11:00 and we had to turn every thing off. Next we hopped into bed and talked and talked for ages for like an hour. Finally we all went to sleep. At 5:00 in the morning I got woken up by Seth who was getting his jersey because he was cold. So he woke all of us up and we couldn't get back to sleep. So we only got 5 hours sleep. We got up and talked again until 7:00 and we turned on the X BOX 360. We played for a while and then we had breakfast. Mum and Dad made my favourite breakfast. Later we went to play at the school with the guns and swords. We all shot each other with the fake guns. Soon everyone had to go home and I had to clean my room. It was a awesome birthday party. 

I finally went to the Rugby game by Adam

I finally went to the Rugby game on the 22nd of June on Saturday. My family all packed our bags and we got in the car and went to New Plymouth. On the way we stopped off at a place called Burger fuel for lunch. It was yum. Then we drove to the hotel. We went in and unpacked our bags and stuff. We watched a bit of TV and had a swim in the big spa pool. It was really warm. When we got out we got dressed in really warm clothes for the Rugby because it would be raining and really cold. I got dressed in 4 layers of clothes. Then we walked to the Rugby game because it was quite close. When we got in there were big lights shining on everyone. It was packed. People kept coming around selling donuts.  My brother and I had to stick close to Mum and Dad because if we didn't we would get lost easily. We took our seats. Then to our surprise we saw Anzac and his family from Fordell school. We sat next to them and talked. We talked for a long time until the Haka started. I recorded it on my camera. It was really awesome. After the Haka kick off started. The big TV on the far corner said 5-4-3-2-1. Everybody counted down and kick off started. It was really cool. Everybody started cheering. It was a really close game. Half time went by and New Zealand was winning. Dad gave me some money to buy some donuts. After I'd eaten them it started again. At the end New Zealand won. I forgot the score. Then we walked back to the hotel and went to sleep straight away. I thought Rugby was awesome. I would love to go again.

    

Going to the Rubry Game by Adam

On Saturday the 22nd of June our family are going to the Rugby game in New Plymouth. It is the 3rd Rugby game where New Zealand verses Franch. In the first 2 games New Zealand had won. Our family are going to a hotel in New Plymouth and staying there until Monday. The Rugby game though is on Saturday. We are going to go there really early. It opens at 5:30 and starts at 7:45. On Monday we are heading back to Fordell. I cannot wait till Saturday.
